The Decision Is Made and a Blog for India Unfolds Comes into the Light

Posted on: 2021-12-22 15:04:37

Enjoying the lazy Sunday afternoon winter sun on the terrace garden of my apartment in Gurugram, a sudden thought of starting a blog for India Unfolds gripped my mind. The decision, I would say, was in acknowledgement of the inputs my wise friends have been suggesting for quite some time now.

What should I write?

I love, like most people who are open to new experiences and need to quench the thirst of seeking, feeling and seeing something different after living a routine life. Yes, I too love to travel. Travelling fascinates me and from now onwards, I am going to write about my travel experiences. I will share with my readers, updates from the travel industry, new experiences and events affecting the travel industry, new avid travelers I come across and engage with—as friends, clients or travel partners, and the amazing Indian wildlife.

A Royal Bengal Tiger

Aye, travelling is a part and parcel of my work because showcasing Incredible India and curating travel experiences for my clients, both domestic and foreign, is something I have always been passionate about. In order to curate an experience and make it more interesting and memorable to my clients, I need to witness the experience beforehand and that fuels my travel.

Why India?

India is a country like no other. India has a lot to offer when it comes to global travelers. India has 14 entries in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity, the latest addition being the Durga Puja of Kolkata. India is home to 40 UNESCO world heritage sites, snow-capped mountains, enchanting deserts, serene beaches and islands which are nothing short of amazing. There are luxury trains that are among the best in the world, world-famous forts, mighty palaces showcasing the life of erstwhile Maharajas, ancient cultures and architecture that leaves the modern world guessing about the sophisticated technology and chiseling tools of the ancients. India is home to world-famous festivals like Holi (festival of colours), Dussehra (victory of good over evil), Diwali (festival of lights), Durga Puja, Ganesh Chaturthi and Guru Purb.

For wildlife enthusiasts, Indian jungles are home to several magnificent beasts of the world like the Asiatic lion, the Royal Bengal tiger, snow leopards, the Indian leopard, clouded leopards, one-horned rhinoceros, the mighty Indian gaur (bison), and many more. India is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, as more than 12 per cent of the world's bird species reside in India. In total India is home to 15 species of wild cats (10 are found in Africa) along with the adorable Red Panda.
